ADM LOADS LARGEST VESSEL AT UK PORT WITH FEED WHEAT DESTINED FOR SPAIN

ADM Agriculture completed loading the largest grain export vessel from the port of Great Yarmouth this week.

The MV Federal Nakagawa was loaded with 32,000 tonnes of feed wheat destined for Spain, continuing to demonstrate ADM Agriculture’s commitment to UK arable farmers in seeking out overseas markets following the large 2022 harvest.

Jonathan Lane, Head of UK Grain Trading, said: “Shipping activity from the UK in the first half of the harvest 2022 season did not meet expectations given the size of the surplus, but things are now picking up, and these bigger boats are helping to keep our farmers’ grain moving.

“ADM’s vast supply chain, from origination to the destination, helps the UK farmer find overseas markets for their grain.”

The cargo was originated entirely through ADM Agriculture, directly from UK farmers, and was moved through ADM’s European supply chain to the end customer in Spain.

“ADM Agriculture continues to be one of the UK’s biggest shippers of agricultural commodities and is committed to work with and for the benefit of UK Agriculture,” added Lane.
